Beta Readers
A member recently asked how to register as a beta reader. Right now, we have no real system for that. However, if you wish to be a beta reader (editor), please contact me or an admin, and I can create a category of Beta readers for our authors to use. Having a list of available and reliable beta readers would be a great benefit to our site, and we would love to create a pool of available people. Thanks!
As a reminder, we are an invitation only site.
Right now, I am accepting work from authors and artists who wish to post here. Simply contact me or an admin telling us you wish to post here, and I will get back with you as soon as possible.

Introducing Myself
Hi there! My name is Openhome and I was asked by Pel to take over the administration of this wonderful site. We are hoping to breathe new life into the site by adding new authors, new categories, and spreading the word that there is a collection of good, clean Twilight stories here. If you have a suggestion for the site or an author you think I should look at, please contact me at twilight@ramblingsandthoughts.com. --Openhome on 12 Oct 2010 7:05 pm 3 Comments

The Problem Has Cleared Up
I've just tested the site, and the posting issues seemed to have cleared up. Authors and artists can post now. If anyone has any issues, contact Pel or any of the moderators.--Lomesir on 23 Nov 2008 8:17 am 22 Comments
November Submission Period Update
Since I posted the the November submission period, something came up that is going to be taking a lot of my attention. My sincerest apologizes. This is not something that I in any way anticipated. The result is that I highly doubt I'll be able to announce the newly selected authors before Christmas.

New Submission Period
If you would like to be an author at this site, our next submission period is November 1 through November 30, 2008.To be considered to be an author/artist you should do the following between Nov 1 and Nov 30:
1) You may submit an item for consideration. This item should display your work at its very best and be in keeping with our submission requirements (click the button at the bottom of the page to view those). If you wish to provide a link to other items that is fine as well. Also you may supply both fic and art for consideration.
2) Make sure your fics have good grammar, good spelling, and are reasonably in character. Fics with no summary, poor spelling, and failure to know the difference between lose/loose, their/there, its/it's (among other things), and Edward saying something like, “Bella, baby doll, let’s par-tay!” will most likely be rejected outright. In general a lackluster summary really gives a poor first impression and first impressions count.
3) Make sure your art isn’t on a napkin or torn notebook paper. It should be the quality of what could hang on the wall in school.
4) You should send me your submission via email (pelirroja_ljc@yahoo.com) either a link to your work on another site like fanfiction.net or deviantart.com or a word doc, pdf, rtf, jpg, png, gif, bmp. I can’t open any other type of file. No, you may not just paste it into the body of the email. CAREFUL IF YOU ARE LINKING TO FANFICTION.NET! Don’t link to your login, link the actual story.
Your email submission should have the words Prospective Author or Prospective Artist” in the subject line. The following information should be in the body of the email:
Author name if selected:
Title of submitted story/art:
Summary of your story/media used for art:
5) Your items must (no exceptions) comply with our regular posting rules found here http://www.ramblingsandthoughts.com/twilight/submission.php
6) Given above rule number 5, I feel stupid saying this, but seeing as I standardly get "Edward and Bella have 10 grandchildren", "Jacob and Leah find love n each others arms",.... WE DON'T TAKE AU's FROM PROSPECTIVE AUTHORS.
7) On or about December 15, 2008 I’ll announce which new authors/artists are invited to have an account.
8) If you were not given an account in a previous entry period you are invited to try again.
People always ask, "Is there a type of story that does better?" The answer is a well-written one. However I would say that I want to read Edward's thoughts during Twilight, especially now that 12 chapters of Midnight Sun are out, like I want a hole in the head. Try something original, esp with a minor character focus if you really want to stand out. I'm bracing myself for 3 million entries of "Edward's thoughts on his wedding day."

Server crash kills tables
So our server crashed twice in 48 hours zapping the characters and categories on this site.I'll be rebuilding it this weekend. Once it's up and running we'll also take Breaking Dawn material.

Submissions so far
Well, as per the usual pattern, I have had more submissions than ever before.I just finished going through all the art submissions and there are 25 artists alone who are getting acceptances.
As of right now, having gone through about a third of the fic submissions, they are outstanding.
I have not idea how many author accounts I'll be giving out, but it's going to be a lot more than ever before.
I'll probably have new people post their items in shifts so their stuff doesn't get lost.
