Fashion suits Alice and Rosalie. It's not of interest to Bella and I doubt she'd care what anyone was dressed in. But dressing up makes Alice happy, and a happy Alice is always good.

Really great! Even I wouldn't wear $5 shoes...I can't see Alice even looking at them. What were the wardrobe people thinking?! Might I suggest writing a story on why Edward was playing a Kawai piano in the movie and not a Steinway? It really bugged me and I don't even play the piano! I really liked how you incorporated Rosalie's cynicism and Edward's jacket into the story as well.
Author's Response: Oh, oh, oh, don't knock Kawai. Yes, I personally would have chosen a Steinway. I actually have a Steinway upright that is my pride, joy and favorite toy. But I am also a violinist who is very picky up about her instruments. In "Note by Note," a documentary about the making of a Steinway concert grand, they have a scene in which a man chooses his piano. He goes through literally two-dozen different Steinways and you either think "This guy is completely freaking NUTS" or you notice the differences in each of the pianos. I spent two hours picking out my violin and I was just 12 years old. I would be much more inclined to write a story about WHY Edward chose that Kawai. I wear shoes that I've found for $5, but that's mostly because I'm addicted to thrift-store shopping. I found a pair of $50 slingbacks for $5. Glad you liked the things I chose to incorporate into the story.

LOL BEAUTIFUL, Ish! :) So great to see this fic up. You are such an Alice. ;) And I ADORE your explanation for Alice's lapse in fashion sense.
Author's Response: LOL, THANKS, Wyn! It's all your fault, you know. I wish I were an Alice. I even got "Mission Runway," which is like a computer game version of Project Runway for Christmas. I'm glad you ADORE that explanation. It really seems to fit in with the fact that they're trying to welcome her by making food of all things!

Terriffic! I can just imagine the look on Rosalie's face when she saw that skirt. I absolutely love that you include links to photos of the items you write about. Great job!
Author's Response: LOL, I actually think that the skirt could work on a seasonal basis since vintage can be cool and paired with the right top...LOL, I started putting in links to what I talk about when I wrote a fashion-conscious fic called "Cullen Couture" and had people wanting to know what the outfits looked like. Also, Eowyn77 wrote a fic in which Alice gives Rosalie a dress by Ciel Chapman and included a link. I try to be as cool as Eowyn77 whenever possible. Thanks!

Very cute. Glad the site was finally able to post this, I've been looking forward to it since reading the author's note. I wasn't disappointed.
Author's Response: Thanks, D. LOL, I'm inordinately happy that the story lived up to the author's note!
