Author's Response: you're opinion counts. but that's what stephenie meyer said when i asked her that exact question at a book signing. i said "did edward ever lie to bella in eclipse?" and she said "yeah." and then she started talking about the 'crystal' bracelet and where it really came from. so, i decided to write a story from her words.
