Hi, my name is Val. (Yes, that is short for Valerie.)

I am a writer and an author, but those aren't the only things I do.

Everything I write (Write, not draw.) will be rated PG-13, because that's the kind of audience I want.

My hair is VERY red. Unnaturally red, but I like it that way. It's been like that for little over two and a half years. Sometimes the color will vary between purple-ish, to burgandy, to blood red, to fire engine red...to carrot top red. And then back again. My favorite to dye my hair is blood red and burgandy, though sometimes if you leave the dye in for too long, or not long enough, it won't come out the way you want it.

I've discovered that no matter what color or shade I dye my hair, there will always be some idiot asking if it's my natural hair color.

I used to be the dorky kid that everyone makes fun of. Now I'm just the dorky kid that everyone leaves alone, because no one wants to deal with me.

I sometimes brag about being the queen of La-La Land, though you wouldn't get the joke unless you shared the same teacher as I in the Third grade.
I've never done any drugs, but everyone seems to think I do. All of the time. That's because I'm generally out-of-it, not paying attention, and singing the most bizarre songs at the most unusual times. I'm oblivious to everything, and tend to say things that make no sense. ("I feel like a piece of paper that has just been rubbed away at by a big pink eraser...kind of soft, and fluffy...but not fluffy, and still raw...") ("Hey guys...I'm hiding for the time being, do you mind if I hang out with you? Thanks. Hiding from what? -shrugs- I'm not sure. I just feel like hiding.") ("Don't worry Mr...erm, whatever-your-name-is. Sorry about that, don't take it personally. I can't remember my own name half the time.")

I read at what is considered a pretty fast pace. I can read Breaking Dawn in a day, and it's about the length of the seventh Harry Potter book.

I am an insomniac.

And sometimes I think I might actually be really, honestly, crazy.
