Hello, don't mind me...im just here to read a few good stories.
:-)

My username comes from three things:
Obviously, how the "vegetarian" vampires' eyes change color.....black and gold.

Two, it is the title of one of my FAVORITE SONGS EVER!!! "Black and Gold"-by Sam Sparro so it is in honor of that, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHuebHTD-lY If you havent listened to it before, you NEED to!

And third, black and gold is the color sceme of Edward Cullen's bedroom......and im sure im not the only one to imagine myself in THAT room....

I read Twilight fanfic only (yeah im picky that way). I do like Harry Potter and some other fandoms as well, but just cant seem to get "into" the fics for those, for some reason...maybe i'll expand my horizons there...and maybe not.

Likes: (These are a few of my favorite things...)

Canon pairings-(mostly Edward and Bella, but others too if well done enough to hold my attention).

Well-done Carlisle Cullen fics-(he is such a rich and noble character, and I feel like we never got enough of him in the original novels and films).

Funny(are there any other kind?) Emmett Cullen stories.

Humor, romance, a little sprinkling of horror, and angst that isnt TOO dreary, cheesy, and Emo...(like Bella and Edward just sitting there in black eyeliner and hoodies cussing, snorting drugs and cutting themselves).

Well-written and imagined canon tales (such as ones that fill-in bare areas in the Twilight Saga, such as Bella's first summer in Forks before New Mooon, Edward's months away from Bella in New Moon, Carlisle's early years, etc.)

Non-canon, AU or OOC stories that are REALLY GOOD and are clearly labeled up front what they are going to be.

Any story in which Jacob Black dies.

Dislikes: (Hisssss!)

Jacob Black (sorry Stephenie Meyer and Jacob fans...I tried very hard to like the guy...but even in fanfics, I just somehow can't like him.) shrugs

Slash - Now before you guys call me close-minded or homophobic, I would read and maybe like slash that involved characters that were already established as gay...but reading non-canon pairings isnt my thing, neither is most OOC, so a story that involves, say, Edward and Jasper ( a seemingly frequent pairing for slash) hooking up at a Starbucks and having sex in the darkened parking lot would not only be non-canon pairing, but since neither character is established as gay, VERY OOC. However, if they were a couple in the books, or at least gay, that would not bother me, and might be interesting to read.

Twilight Crossovers into other worlds or fandoms (example: HP or Star Trek)

Jacob/Renesmee couplings......sorry, but that whole thing just creeps me RIGHT OUT! *shivers* I would rather Jacob be with Leah and Renesmee grow up to marry nice little Seth Clearwater,if she MUST have a werewolf.

Bad spelling and grammar (even the best authors with excellent Beta-readers occasionally have errors...but some stuff is SO badly done spelling and grammar-wise that it is just unreadable!)

Non-canon or OOC behavior or traits that is disguised as actual canon behavior or personality traits! PLEASE SAY IN ADVANCE to let all us readers know if your story/characters are non-canon,OOC, AU, etc...I cant tell you how many times I have seen a story that CLAIMED to be in-canon characters and behavior but was NOT. Example: several stories I have seen have "canon" Alice Cullen acting like a mean, vindictive bitch, or an unrelenting, foul-mouthed pervert.

People who write a wonderful multi-chapter story, and then just abandon it before it's finished...not just infrequent updating, but NO updating. As such, I am now very wary of starting to read a multi-part story that doesnt have the "complete" next to it and is still in progress...even on recommendation from others...ive just been burned too many times by good authors who wrote engrossing stories...only to leave my cheese out in the wind. >:-(

To all the writers here on Twilight Fanfiction:

I appreciate so much your generosity and bravery in putting forth your creations for so many people to both enjoy and critique. That must be scary at times, making yourselves so vulnerable. Hats off to all of you. Some of you are immensely talented, and write better than most published authors out on the bookstore shelves today. Keep the creative juices flowing and the stories coming, please!
